Did you miss our first screening of Free for All: The Public Library? We had such a great response that we are offering two more screenings.
If you love libraries, you will love this film. Even those of us who are library fanatics learned new things: the role that women played in creating libraries in America, the history of segregation, how libraries truly became free for ALL, and how efforts to ban books and defund libraries here are part of a national phenomenon…
We will talk briefly about Freedom to Read Nevada, current anti-book banning efforts, and how to get involved. After the screening, there will be a chance to discuss the film and meet other library supporters. And, of course, there will be SNACKS.
